John Scott lead the Pacific to the All Star Game win, score twice, threw a big check at center ice and got in a “fight” with Patrick Kane. And at the end of the day he was voted ASG MVP!!!!!!

I just got through watching the skills competition, and I’ll watch the game tomorrow night. But I heard about this already, and while I don’t know who won the game, I know who won hockey. This is such a great story.
It’s only fitting that the League will help pay for Scott’s move to Newfoundland. And this picture also helps illustrate how small a man Gary Bettman is. He’s short, too.

This is what the front page of Reddit looks like right now. So. Much. Hockey.
I love it.

Such an awesome story, and it’s absolutely crazy how the fans completely embraced him. It’s even better that he managed to score twice and had some other great chances.
I had to look up the stats. Cindy Crosby has one ASG appearance and no points. By my math that makes John Scott infinitely more awesome than Crosby.

That is the first ASG that I can remember watching. The 3 on 3 format and mini tournament made for exciting hockey to watch. I was very skeptical and figured the 3 on 3 would lose its novelty after about 5 minutes. Whether the NHL likes it or not, John Scott is the best thing that has ever happened to the ASG. He definitely won the week and put in a heck of an outing during the game.
